Birthday Fun

Yesterday was my birthday. I relaxed (for once) and hung out with my fam. I went bowling and ate mad ribs and honey wings at BBQs. My mom made me a chocolate chip cake, and all was right in the world. Thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes by phone, email, and MySpace. The most important gift I’ve received in my 23 years are all the great people who I’ve met along the way, and no matter how anti-social I seem at times , it means a lot to have you all around. Thanks for 23 years of memories and hopefully many more to come….

…and MONEY!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY!!! I GOT BILLS TO PAY!!!

TV at 5am

So I’ve been a bit of an insomniac this week (well, every week, but even more this week!). But I noticed that TV is better late at night. Sure, it’s at this time you can find such cinematic treasures as Mr. Nanny (yeah, I said it! Whatchagonnado, brother!). I’ve also happen across one of my favorite old tv shows, The Critic. Yes indeed, the tube is much better at 4am. Especially when its been months since I’ve watched tv!

Technology Sucks

I HATE COMPUTERS!

…however, its what I do, so I do what I can to coexist peacefully. But I can’t stand it! Between Yahoo! deleting my account (they still haven’t got back to me and it’s been a while) and my laptop’s power acting up (shows battery when it’s plugged in), I’m getting really frustrated. Oh well, stuff happens I guess.

Lastly, a movie review of sorts. I saw a movie this week called Tetsuo: The Iron Man. Now, I’ve seen many gory, gut-wrenching things in my day without a second thought, and was afraid that maybe I was becoming desensitized to things. This movie put me in my place. If you are the anti-social type and have someone who keeps pestering you, give them this movie and tell them it’s your favorite. If they still talk to you after that (or say it’s their favorite too) you may want to move to another state (or country). I’m sure there is a logical explanation for the film, but until I hear it, I guess this will be “that which I don’t speak of.”

The Sickness

Cough, cough. Sneeze sneeze.

Man I hate being sick. Altenating between feeling like I’m stuck in an icebox and on a bed of hot coals. Aches and pains and all that stuff. Oh well. It could be worse. I could be listening to whatever is on the radio (shuddering at the thought).

Take care and I hope any other sick people are feeling better.

Party Like It’s 1999

MERRY NEW YEAR!

2006 is the year to make stuff happen. So many have dealt with pain and suffering this past year with the tsunami, the hurricanes, earthquakes, violence abroad and at home, as well as everyone’s own personal losses. Though you can never forget the past, its important to survive and move on, to be an example for the next generation. If you’re reading this (God knows how many people actually do), don’t forget to remind your family and friends how much they mean to you, because if you spread the love, all else will follow. So push on, strive for something, and most impotantly…

…live.
